Five acts like five significant fragments taken from the life of a woman, five moments, as many dramatic flashes, are all Rainer Werner Fassbinder needs in order to guide us along the turbulent stream of a mad, suicidal and perhaps even liberating passion.  From the first time Petra sets eyes on the beautiful stranger that Sidonie introduces her to, until the final rupture, over the telephone.  The story is simple, brutal, as if craggily sculpted  by a 25 year old writer.  Being able to embody such passions, in a world where men excel by their absence, is a job for physical, powerful actresses who are ready to throw themselves into their roles, totally.  Once again, Ku_ej has gathered a superb troop of actors – before releasing them like wild lionesses on the theater stage that is more like a glass cage, and which magnifies the hardcore  yet sumptuous violence of this story of a great and tragic love.
