Cast
The first work of a twenty-year-old poet who didn't yet know he would become Bertolt Brecht, written with youthful vigor, is tackled by a young company in their fifth new production since D'ores et Déjà was founded in 2002. Sylvain Creuzevault and his friends - Damien Mongin, Arthur Igual, Louis Garrel - love taking risks, confronting each audience head-on, and making the theater a place of intensity. Using a new translation by Eloi Recoing, they present a Baal worthy of what Brecht described as "a work that dates from the period in which it is produced.
