A young man has vanished in Berlin. Has he become radicalized ? Is he planning a crime ? His mother Marina leaves her bookstore in Chinon to find out what happened. Rüdiger, a perfect stranger, is supposed to sublet his flat to her. But upon Marina’s arrival, Rüdiger confesses that he has not been quite honest with her. Other lies are to follow… As a novelist, Marie NDiaye has won the Prix Femina for Rosie Carpe (2001) and the Prix Goncourt for Trois femmes puissantes (Three Strong Women, 2009). She has also been a playwright for twenty years. This is the first time that Stanislas Nordey, an ardent defender of contemporary writing, enters into her disturbing universe, her haughty and suggestive language.
