Stacey Kent Trio feat. Akilone String Quartet

Stacey Kent, the Francophile and Francophone American singer, released her fourteenth album Summer me, Winter me last November. For this concert, she'll be offering songs from that album, as well as from her favourite repertoire, in English, French and Brazilian: she'll be calling on Richard Rogers, Michel Legrand, Jacques Brel and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Stacey Kent will open this 23rd Festival Jazz à Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris in style, accompanied for the first time by the Akilone string quartet. Winners of the First Grand Prize and the Proquartet Prize at the Bordeaux International Music Competition, these four talented young women have enjoyed a distinguished international career, having grown up with eminent chamber musicians such as Hatto Beyerle, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Johannes Meissl, Mathieu Herzog and the Ébène Quartet. Stacey Kent's trio will be enhanced by her elegant playing and generous sound.
