Arlequin and Sylvia love each other stubbornly. This poses the Prince, who is smitten with Sylvia, a seemingly unsolvable problem, as in order to separate them, any use of force is forbidden to him. Yet violence can appear smoother and more insidious than most. The initial love for subjects is “similar” says Galin Stoev “to a white mouse”. Once the mouse is captured, the lords can work on it… Stoev glorifies the worrying charm of a playwright in which he would willingly picture “post modern forerunner” where is the truth ? Where is the falsity ? How to find oneself when love itself is trapped ?
