The Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe is actively engaged in the national « Summer of Culture and Learning » program, which offers schoolchildren and high school students the opportunity to revise their classics during the summer holidays.

During the next two months, we will be welcoming young spectators within our venues. They will be given access to open rehearsals, meet with the actors, take part in acting workshops. Our know-how in the field of of artistic interventions will also be on display elsewhere : Chère Agnès and Florence et Moustafa, two specially designed short plays, will go on tour in different non-theatrical locations ; several acting workshops modelled after Adolescence et Territoire(s) will take place, in addition to creative writing sessions or philosophical debates for children (based on our series of encounters known as Les Petits Platons). From The Arabian Nights to The School for Wives, Tartuffe or Iphigenia, our proposals will widely explore the topic of the representation of women, allowing younger and older spectators alike to revisit these great texts in an easy and playful way.

About thirty events will thus be made available, with the participation of twenty artists and speakers for an audience of over 1,000.

Our programme centers on 6 topics :
- Molière’s Conception of Women : The School for Wives
- A World at a Standstill : Racine’s Iphigenia
- Do you know your Tartuffe ?
- All Told ! The Thousand and One Night
- Adolescence et Territoire(s), summer sessions (with the T2G Gennevilliers and the Espace 1789 Saint-Ouen)
- Les Petits Platons of the Odéon, offsite encounters
