With Ithaca, created in 2018 at the Odeon, Christiane Jatahy presented the first part of a modern Odyssey. In this second part – which was a great success for its creation at The Avignon Festival in July 2019 – a new character appears: Telemachus wishes to find Ulysses, his father. His search is also a quest for other invisible Odysseys, those of so many refugees and migrants today. From Lebanon to Amazonia, through South Africa, Greece and Palestine, Christiane Jatahy has gathered testimonies in order to confront them on stage as in shaking bounds between fiction and reality, memories of former times and burning issues.
