“Before being a national glory for France, Missak Manouchian was a poet. A stateless artist. His writing emerges from survival. His poetry conveys a breath of fresh air from the mountains of Adiyaman in Anatolia (...) Missak loved Melinée, with an “inordinate” love, as she wrote in her book. I want to recount this love story, torn apart by war”.
This poetic recital with Armenian cabaret overtones is the brainchild of actor and director Hovnatan Avédikian, who starred in Monsieur Aznavour, the biographical film by Grand Corps Malade and Medhi Idir. He will be joined on stage by his father, actor and director Serge Avédikian, musician and singer Vasken Solakian, and mezzo-soprano and actress Astrid Fournier-Laroque.
