As a writer, actor, performance artist and musician, Vimala Pons has established herself as a multifaceted artist, on stage and on screen, moving with agility between disciplines. In the wake of her previous works, Honda Romance continues to explore the sense of balance, or rather what threatens it. Physical imbalance be omes a metaphor for our own instability. Vimala Pons offers a response to the constant flow of information we’re bombarded with, our fluctuating emotions and the incessant stream of our thoughts. It takes the form of a physical and musical score for ten performers, three wind blowers and a satellite. A ballet tinged with humour and nostalgia, set to music by Tsirihaka Harrivel and Rebeka Warrior, and directed by Fiona Monbet and Romain Louveau.
