With
Laura Vazquez

For this project, Laura Vazquez brings together director Marie-José Malis, visual artist Théo Mercier, filmmaker and video artist Élise Blotière, and composer Rebeka Warrior. Together, they plunge into the shadows, into darkness, into blackness, into the underworld. That is where we come from. That is where language comes from.

Five dates

1990 I speak to God; I compose little prayers in my head and write them down with my own hands.

1992 I discover that the person raising me cannot read or write. I have a power that is too great for me.

1999 I turn away from God; I write poems, songs and stories.

2005 First episodes of depersonalisation, panic attacks, borderline states, serious problems for which there is no cure. Books and texts are of no help.

2017 My first novel, La semaine perpétuelle, teaches me regularity, humility and service. I am changing.
