Frissure is a hapax: a word that emerged from the unconscious during meditation, one that did not exist before it appeared. Within it, several neighbouring sensations converge — la fêlure (the crack), le frisson (the shiver), la fissure (the fissure) — each one a fault line to be crossed. For this new work at the Petit Odéon, Myriam Gourfink puts herself to the test of her own score: lying on the floor, apparently motionless, she lets the body go on vibrating, go on searching, translating into her flesh this invented word that holds a threshold open.
